A better than very good copy, the binding is clean and firm with a little bumping at the extremities. The contents are entirely complete and with the exception of a contemporary previous owner's name and date on the half title, clean and bright throughout. An excellent example. A later issue with the publisher's address printed as '11 Quay Street' on title page, and 46 titles listed in Arrowsmith's Bristol Library.

A very good copy indeed, covers bright and hinges perfect, with a couple of marks to the lower cover and a little darkening to the spine.

Their first expedition was along the Thames from Kingston upon Thames to Oxford, recreating the original novel. After this, the trio embarked on a trip from London to the Isle of Wight in Jones's yacht where they would race her against her sister yacht.
